Repairs – Important Information

McGill Facilities Management, the contractor which provides reactive repairs services to the Association has advised us that they have decided to withdraw their services. This was at relatively short notice but we have put plans in place to transfer the service to another contractor. Gas repairs and maintenance works are NOT affected.

McGill will continue to provide emergency and callout services until new arrangements are in place and also complete some outstanding routine work. We have put a Repairs Team in place in the office to manage an orderly handover from one contractor to another and they will contact tenants with outstanding repairs.

We are pleased to announce that an existing partner contractor Everwarm Ltd has agreed to take on the job. More details will be provided in due course so please keep checking our web site and Facebook page.

All tenants and owners in the factoring scheme have been sent a letter with further details so we have only included a summary in this post.

We will do our best to ensure target timescales are met but there may be some disruption as things settle down so Target Response Times have been Suspended. We will advise you when Target Times are reinstated and when the emergency repairs service is transferred to Everwarm

Latest news on the repairs service. 

 

As previously posted,  following notice from McGill to withdraw from delivering the repairs service, we are setting up a new contract with Everwarm. Some tenants may have had work done in their homes by them before as they have carried out work such as new heating installations, bathrooms and more.

 

Everwarm are completing the induction of their trades staff to allow them to start carrying out repairs from 4th July 2022. All trades will have id and if you are unsure if the person who calls is legitimate, then give us a call on 01324 664931.

 

Please note that Gas Repairs are not affected and continue to be carried out by CTS.

 

As we work towards a full handover of services from McGill to Everwarm, both contractors are working on completing some works ordered before this date. McGill are working with their partner company, Saltire and it may be Saltire who attends on site. Our dedicated Repairs Team is in place and working to ensure that there is a smooth handover between the contractors. They have contacted all tenants where work is outstanding and will keep them up to date on progress.

 

McGill will continue to provide emergency and call out services meantime. We will let you know when this service switches over.
